(July 10, 2017) — The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is the Alamo City’s summer camps destination. Throughout the summer, UTSA will offer more than 60 camps in science, engineering, architecture, sports, music, writing, language, culture and more for kids, teens and young adults.
Campers will develop new skills or strengthen existing ones while experiencing what it’s like to be on a college campus. Campers will work on their athletic skills, build robots, explore archaeological techniques, develop musicianship and even learn Chinese and Japanese languages.
This week, UTSA is offering the following camps:
Archaeology of Ancient Adventures
Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Center for Archaeological Research, Main Campus
Campers will participate in indoor and outdoor activities while exploring ancient traders, raiders, and migraters from around the globe. They will discover Roman, Incan and Viking battle tactics, Native American nomads, and find out what sharks have to do with Maya trade routes.
