UTSA Roadrunner Days Schedule: Thursday, Aug. 24

(Aug. 24, 2017) — It’s day three of classes. By now you have the swing of things. Get a jump start on the weekend at Roadrunner Days, a series of fun events that offer ’Runners the opportunity to connect to the UTSA community.

Here’s what’s going on today:

Student Success Series
2 p.m. – 5 p.m., University Center, Retama Auditorium (UC 2.02.02), Main Campus

This new series promotes this achievement by offering workshops on the common concerns and questions first-year students have during their transition to university life.

  • Financial Truths – Starbucks Everyday = StarBROKE, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • First-Year Truths – Naw, But fo’ Real Tho’, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Digital Reputation – #TheFineStaffofUTSAWillTweetYouBack, 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Rendezvous at the Downtown Library
4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Buena Vista Street Building, Downtown Library, 2nd floor, Downtown Campus

Stop by to find out what the Downtown Library has to offer. It’s a great place to study, use computers, work on group projects and get help finding material on research topics.

Howdy Rowdy Bash
8 p.m. – 10 p.m., Convocation Center, Main Campus

After you check out the library and game, come back to the Main Campus to get to know UTSA student athletes. Members of the football, volleyball, soccer and cross country teams will get us pumped for games with cheers and giveaways. The event ends with a live performance by Smallpools.

Roadrunner Days is a 10-day celebration on the Main and Downtown Campuses where new and current Roadrunners take part in time-honored UTSA traditions, learn about valuable UTSA resources, meet new friends and make lasting memories.
