(March 6, 2018) — As The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) student body votes this week on a new set of officers for the Student Government Association (SGA), there are a number of familiar names on the ballot. The students running for office are involved not only in SGA, but in various organizations across campus, working to build the UTSA campus community.

Student voters will select a student body president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. They will also vote on senators representing their respective colleges and classifications.

2018 candidates for UTSA SGA Executive Officers:

President:

  • Brittany Ashley Garcia

Vice President:

  • Mariah Crippen
  • Loy Fong
  • Arianna “Ari” Pulido

Secretary:

  • Briana Gavito
  • Lorelle Jackson
  • Aileen Montana

Treasurer:

  • Amber Shannon Barbosa
  • Kaitlyn Law

Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7. The results will be announced at 3 p.m. on  Thursday, March 8 in front of the SGA office in the H-E-B Student Union (HSU 1.214), facing the Paseo.
