(Nov. 16, 2018) — All UTSA faculty, staff and students are invited to attend open forums featuring finalist candidates for the position of vice provost and dean of the UTSA Graduate School.
During the forums, Roadrunners will have the opportunity to hear each finalist give an overview of their qualifications, their interest in the position and their vision for the Graduate School, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
Forums will be available on both UTSA Main and Downtown Campus. Information on the individual candidates is available online; UTSA authentication is required to view all candidate information.
The search committee would like to receive feedback from UTSA faculty and staff who attend any of the candidate forums. Please complete a survey for each candidate you were able to hear from.

Can Saygin has served as interim vice provost and dean of the UTSA Graduate School since March, when DeBrenna LaFa Agbenyiga was named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Bowie State University.
The UTSA Graduate School cultivates academic excellence in graduate education on a local and global platform by recruiting students from diverse cultural perspectives, encouraging intellectual curiosity and creativity, and promoting integrity and long-life learning. It offers 67 master’s degree programs, 25 doctoral degree programs and 31 graduate certificate programs to more than 4,200 graduate students across seven colleges.
In addition, The Graduate School offers programming dedicated to prepare graduate students as future leaders in their industry and academia. This includes dissertation and thesis counseling services, networking events, and professional development sessions.
