Acknowledge the rock stars who make a difference at UTSA

(Feb. 12, 2019) — The UTSA community is encouraged to recognize the faculty, staff and students who have made an impact on their lives during the 43rd Annual University Life Awards Ceremony. Hosted by the UTSA Council of Student Organizations and the UTSA Student Government Association, the awards recognize achievements in leadership, academics and community involvement. Nominations are now open through Sunday, March 10.

The highlight of the University Life Awards is the presentation of the Golden Feather, a UTSA lifetime achievement award for student leaders. Past Golden Feather winners have gone on to study law, higher education, administration and work for Fortune 500 companies.

Awards will also be presented to the most outstanding undergraduate and graduate students in each college. The Office of Housing and Residence Life, the Office of Volunteer Services and Campus Recreation will also recognize outstanding students in their respective areas.

UTSA community members are invited to the award ceremonies. The student organization awards will be presented by the Council of Student Organization at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 and the individual student, faculty, and staff awards will be presented by the Student Government Association at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 in the H-E-B Student Union Ballroom (HSU 1.104) on Main Campus. This year’s theme is honoring UTSA’s 50th Anniversary. Cocktail attire is encouraged.
