(April 24, 2019) – Fiesta festivities return to UTSA this week for Party on the Paseo, a safe, family friendly option for Fiesta goers. In its 11th year, the party gets started Thursday, April 25 at 5 p.m. in the H-E-B Student Union Ballrooms (HSU 1.104/1.106) on the UTSA Main Campus. All activities and food are free and open to the public.

This year, the event features a TV game show experience. Roadrunners who bring a student ID will be able to participate in a Family Feud-style game for a chance at small cash prizes.

Party on the Paseo traditionally raises awareness about important topics. This year, the event will be informing students about alcohol abuse and sexual violence.

“Students are more than welcome to come out and have a good time,” said Jarvis Clark, UTSA associate director of student activities. “We also want to provide important information for students as they go out into the city for various events.”

The festivities start at 5:00 p.m. with a free buffet-style meal. The games will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m.

Party on the Paseo is sponsored and coordinated by the UTSA Office of Student Activities and Beaks Up. Speak Up, UTSA’s bystander intervention initiative.
