(May 20, 2019) — When students return to UTSA in the fall, they’ll notice changes to the 2019-2020 academic calendar. The updates will advance student success and better align UTSA’s academic calendar with the calendars of its peer institutions.
One adjustment beginning in fall 2019 is a 16-week semester rather than the previous 17-week semester. Other modifications include starting the semester on a Monday and designating one study day instead of two. In the spring, first day of classes will start on a Tuesday so the campus community can observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on that Monday.
