(May 28, 2019) – The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is a designated early voting site for the June 8 runoff election for mayor and city council districts 2, 4 and 6. Any registered Bexar County voter can skip the lines and cast a ballot on the UTSA Main Campus, May 28 to June 4 in the H-E-B Student Union (HSU 1.002). Voters at the Downtown Campus can vote early at the nearby Bexar County Elections Dept. at 1103 S. Frio St. Polls will be closed on Sunday June 2. See sample ballots for additional information.
A goal for the city of San Antonio, as outlined by the community in the SA2020 report on civic engagement is to increase voter turnout by two percent each election by 2020. Voter turnout for the May 4 election was 11.5 percent. The UTSA Center for Civic Engagement encourages students, staff, faculty and community to bring their friends and family and make their voices heard by casting their vote at UTSA during early voting period.
Area residents and employees at Valero, NuStar and other local businesses are invited to use this convenient early voting location. Marked reserved parking will be available for voters on the south side of the H-E-B Student Union.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, June 2: Polls closed
Voters will be asked to present an approved form of photo or secondary identification to vote. On Election Day, June 8 voters must vote at their designated precinct locations. See the Bexar County website for more information.
