(July 30, 2019) — All UTSA faculty, staff and students are invited to attend three open forums featuring the finalists for the position of Assistant Vice President for Inclusive Excellence.
UTSA seeks to promote an inclusive community of learners, an awareness and appreciation of multicultural perspectives, and the establishment of policies, programs and resources designed to embrace and support diversity and inclusion.
The Office of Inclusive Excellence serves as an agent and resource to provide leadership on issues related to diversity. Our goal is to support and promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of campus life through the development of initiatives that encourage diversity and inclusion.
The Assistant Vice President for Inclusive Excellence will provide institutional leadership for the effective recruitment and advancement of a diverse and excellent faculty and staff. Reporting to the Vice President for Inclusive Excellence, the Assistant Vice President will collaborate with University leadership, faculty, staff, students, shared governance groups and community members to provide guidance and support for all activities of the Office of Inclusive Excellence.
During the forums, Roadrunners will have the opportunity to hear each finalist give a presentation on “How to Advance Inclusive Excellence,” followed by a question and answer session.
