This year, UTSA welcomes new freshman and transfer students to Roadrunner Nation during the 16-day celebration. They will take part in time-honored UTSA traditions, learn about valuable UTSA resources, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime, all important foundations to enhance the exceptional student experience UTSA fosters.
Here’s what’s going on during Roadrunner Days today:
Howdy Rowdy Bash Ticket and T-Shirt Pick up
8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Student Union Paseo, Main Campus
Students who purchased a ticket to Howdy Rowdy Bash can pick up their ticket and a t-shirt. Make sure you bring your UTSA ID.
Networking Social
11 a.m. to 1 p.m., H-E-B Student Union Ballrooms (HSU 1.104/1.106), Main Campus
The UTSA community is invited to attend a Networking Social hosted by the Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion. The come and go event is an opportunity to celebrate the diverse identities of Roadrunners, meet students, faculty, and staff, and get connected to services, resources, and organizations on campus.
Open House: College of Education and Human Development (COEHD)
3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., H-E-B Student Union Ballroom 1 (HSU 1.104), Main Campus
COEHD majors will learn and become better connected to the college. They’ll meet faculty and staff, explore research opportunities and meet other students with similar majors and interests.
UTSA Faculty: Then and Now
5 p.m., Student Union Gallery 23 (SU 1.02.23), Main Campus
This new fall exhibit celebrates 50 years of faculty excellence, recognizing the legacy of UTSA faculty, who are central to advancing the university’s mission of teaching, research and service. On display will be early portraits of 78 of UTSA’s pioneer tenured/tenure-track professors hired between 1972 and 1978.
Student Government Association (SGA) Meet and Greet
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Student Union Denman Room (SU 2.01.18), Main Campus
Come meet your elected SGA representatives and learn about opportunities to get involved in serving and helping the UTSA community.
Hometown Showdown River Rally
6:30 p.m., Arneson River Theatre and River Walk, Downtown San Antonio
This exciting event leading up to the UTSA Football season opener with Incarnate Word brings the coaches, players, bands, cheerleaders and fans from both teams together for a spirited pep rally on the San Antonio Riverwalk, which is free and open to the public.
