AUGUST 12, 2020 — UTSA has joined Common App as a member institution, allowing incoming students for fall 2021 and later to use the online platform to submit their admissions application to the university.

The Common App is a nonprofit organization that provides students with a unified college application experience. It streamlines the application process for students and their families and offers information on fees, scholarships and financial aid. These resources are available in both English and Spanish.

As UTSA continues to expand outreach initiatives outside of Texas, the Common App provides the opportunity for freshman, transfer and international students to apply. There are nearly 900 institutions across the U.S. and the world that accept the Common Application.

“In addition to being a time-saver for students who may be applying to multiple universities across the United States and internationally, the Common App, along with ApplyTexas, promotes equity and access in the college application process,” said Beverly Woodson Day, senior director of undergraduate recruitment at UTSA.
