The University of Texas at San Antonio is making excellent progress on a highly anticipated, large-scale repair and restoration project for the Main Building. Once completed, these repairs will ensure the building remains in optimal condition for many years to come, providing a top-tier learning and working environment.
The university’s Real Estate, Construction and Planning team is overseeing the project, which encompasses a wide range of repairs, including roof replacement, select window removal and reinstallation, masonry assessment and stucco removal and reinstallation. These repairs and improvements will significantly reduce the risk of water infiltration to the building.
The current phase of the project includes interior repairs on the third and fourth floors. To accommodate this work, offices on the affected floors have been temporarily relocated.
