Roadrunner Remembrance, an annual ceremony that honors members of our campus community — students, faculty, staff, and alumni — who have passed away in the previous year, returns to UTSA, following a two-year hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 23, in the Student Union Retama Auditorium (SU 2.02.02), and will honor Roadrunner community members we lost in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The first ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and will honor Roadrunners who passed away in 2019 and 2020.  The second ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. and will honor those we lost in 2021.

Roadrunner Remembrance ceremonies feature readings and music to recognize the contributions all of the honorees have made to UTSA. A feather is placed in a nest to symbolize and honor each Roadrunner’s legacy. A reception will immediately follow each of the ceremonies.
