OCTOBER 24, 2022 — UTSA students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to participate in the November 8 general election. Early voting runs October 24 through November 4. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8.
Registered Bexar County voters may cast their ballot at the polling place on the Main Campus: the H-E-B Student Union Bexar Room (HSU 1.102). The Downtown Campus community can vote at the nearby Bexar County Elections Office, located at 1103 S. Frio St.
On the ballot are federal, state and county races including congressional, governor, lieutenant. governor, Texas Supreme Court Justices, Texas Board of Education, Texas Justice Court of Appeals, State Senate and House of Representatives, Bexar County judge, Bexar County Court judges, district attorney, clerk, commissioner and probate court.

Noon to 6 p.m.

Voters will need to show a valid photo ID or secondary supporting ID and may take a personalized sample printed ballot to the polls. Cell phones are not allowed and must be turned off. A generic sample ballot for the November 8 election is available online to view, download and print.
Deaflink Technology is available at the Bexar County Elections Office voting site for voters who are hearing impaired, and all polling locations in Bexar County will offer the Express Touch voting unit for curbside voting use. Call 210-335-VOTE (8683) for assistance with Braille and curbside voting.
According to the National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement, national student voter turnout for the 2018 midterm election was 45.1%. UTSA’s voter turnout for the 2018 midterm election was in the 40 to 49% range, earning the university a Gold Seal for Excellence in Student Voter Engagement by the nonpartisan ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge.
The Office of Civic and Community-Engaged Leadership invites students, faculty and staff to join the RowdyVOTES Community of Practice and to encourage students to vote.The Roadrunner community is encouraged to take the “Pledge to Vote” and stay up to date on important election dates and voter engagement campus events. UTSA aims to reach its goal of at least 50% student voter turnout rate in the 2022 midterm election.
