NOVEMBER 15, 2022 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent today via email from President Taylor Eighmy to all faculty and staff:
In 2017, we launched a strategic planning process for UTSA—a ten-year vision—to guide our campus community towards reaching new levels of excellence by achieving three strategic destinations: becoming a model of student success, a great public research university and an exemplar for strategic growth and innovative excellence. Since then, we’ve made incredible strides on our way to becoming a university of the future in the city of the future.
As we’ve reached the midpoint in our initial plan, now is an opportune time to celebrate where we’ve been, take stock of where we are now and reaffirm where we’re going next.
On November 28, we invite you to join us for an engaging conversation between me and Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives Dr. Lisa Jasinski as she poses questions to explore the key elements of UTSA’s strategic plan, the purpose of our mid-point refresh, and how we can all play a role in advancing its progress. The town hall will be a hybrid event, and regardless of how you choose to join us, we hope you’ll submit questions to be asked during our conversation. Questions can be submitted in advance or in real-time during the event.
Your voices and feedback are critical to our strategic plan refresh, and we look forward to collaborating as we move forward in the year-long process.
