Tomorrow, People Excellence will commence its Virtual Annual Benefits Enrollment Fair. The fair, which takes place July 11-13, provides an excellent opportunity for benefits-eligible UTSA employees to learn more about their benefits options, assess their benefit needs and prepare for the annual benefits enrollment period, which runs from July 15-31.

Benefits-eligible faculty and staff receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental and vision benefits, paid vacation and sick leave, a multipronged wellness program, professional development opportunities, retirement programs and more.

Each day of the fair is themed, with sessions for health insurance on Tuesday, wellness on Wednesday and retirement on Thursday. The lineup features live sessions from the UT System Office of Employee Benefits, select benefit providers and UTSA Wellness, as well as games, trivia and yoga. Pre-registration is highly recommended for each event. To view the full event schedule and RSVP online, current university employees should visit the annual benefits enrollment website. Many of the sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend.

During the annual benefits enrollment period, employees can change their group insurance benefit selections, update coverage for eligible dependents and revise medical, prescription, dental and pre-tax flexible spending account elections for the next year. This is also a good time for employees to review their designated life insurance and retirement beneficiaries, as well as add, update or remove eligible dependents from coverage.

Prior to the start of the annual benefits enrollment period, the Office of Employee Benefits will provide more information about upcoming plan changes, links to resources and updated benefits guides, and instructions on the enrollment process.
