JANUARY 15, 2024 — With current weather forecasts calling for no precipitation, all UTSA campuses and offices will open on their regular schedule for the first day of classes on Tuesday, January 16.

San Antonio remains under a Hard Freeze Warning and a Wind Chill Advisory through 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, with forecasts calling for wind chills as low as five degrees below zero. Precipitation is not expected and road conditions in the greater San Antonio area are not expected to be impacted.

UTSA reminds everyone to stay “winter wise” over the coming days. Dress in layers when outside and avoid prolonged exposure to the wind and cold and monitor local news to track weather conditions. More information can be found at the following sites:

UTSA will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. Additionally, UTSA is in close communication with CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County.

Be advised that Brennan Avenue will be closed for the next several months due to campus construction. Please plan accordingly when arriving at the Main Campus beginning on Tuesday.
