JANUARY 18, 2024 — The Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) has named Dr. Lisa Jasinski as the organization’s next president, chair of the ACM Board of Directors Jenifer K. Ward of Luther College announced. ACM is a consortium of 14 institutions spanning the Midwest with a collective focus on advancing the narrative of the residential liberal arts college experience as the best preparation for life in a rapidly changing world.
A thought leader in higher education and an experienced administrator with nearly two decades of work managing complex strategic plan initiatives, Jasinski has served as the senior director for strategic initiatives in the Office of the President at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she has overseen the design, tracking and implementation of UTSA’s current 10-year strategic plan, A Vision for UTSA. Guided by the plan, UTSA is transforming into a model for student success, a great public research university, and an innovative place to work, learn and discover.
In May 2023, Jasinski also was named one of two fellows for the Society of College and University Planning.
“Lisa has been absolutely instrumental in guiding our university-wide strategic planning refresh and putting us on a path to achieve our 2028 strategic goals,” said UTSA President Taylor Eighmy. “She has developed a deep understanding of higher education throughout her career, working directly with senior leaders in varied roles. We are so proud of her and know she will be so impactful for ACM. We all wish her our very best as she begins an exciting new journey as its leader, building on her passion for education.”
UTSA will begin a national search for a new director of strategic initiatives this spring.
