NOVEMBER 5, 2024 — The UTSA Main Campus will serve as a voting site for today’s presidential election. The polls will be open until 7 p.m. at the H-E-B Student Union Ballroom (HSU 1.106).

UTSA encourages eligible students, faculty, staff and community members to cast their votes.

To facilitate on-campus voting, the north area of the Ximenes Lot will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday and designated for free voter parking. Vehicles parked by individuals who are not voting will be subject to a citation. The Ximenes Lot is located just south of the H-E-B Student Union.

Staff from the UTSA Center for Civic and Community-Engaged Leadership will be on hand to help individuals verify their voter registration status and ID requirements and to pass out non-partisan ballot guides and a list of do’s and don’t’s at the polling station, according to Maria Alejandro, the center’s program director.

Voters will need to show a valid photo ID or secondary supporting ID.

Curbside voting is available for voters who need assistance by calling 210-335-VOTE (8683) in advance. Voters with visual impairments can cast their ballots via the OmniBallot accessible absentee portal.

The UTSA Center for Civic and Community-Engaged Leadership empowers students, faculty and staff to engage in meaningful, community-based experiential learning and scholarship. To support voter registration, education and participation, the center coordinates the RowdyVOTES Community of Practice, a collaboration of university and community partners that work together to support nonpartisan campus engagement.
