MARCH 21, 2025 — UTSA students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the City of San Antonio’s César E. Chávez March for Justice honoring the leader’s life and legacy. This year’s march will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m.
UTSA will provide free shuttle rides from the Main and Downtown Campuses as well as a complimentary commemorative t-shirt for each participant, while supplies last.
UTSA’s Westside Community Center, located just a few steps away from the march’s starting point, will serve as the meetup location for UTSA attendees. The march traces a route through downtown San Antonio, culminating in a celebration at Hemisfair Park.
The Westside Community Center will feature a special pop-up exhibit showcasing items from the Chicano Research Collections in UTSA Libraries’ Special Collections and will be open to all event attendees to enjoy. The exhibit includes prints, photos, posters, and other historic material.
University participants are asked to register as a member of the UTSA delegation, even if they plan to provide their own transportation to the event.
