August brings the return of students to UTSA and the annual Roadrunner Days, activities organized by the university to start the new academic year with a focus on connection and community.

Roadrunner Days events are scheduled for August 22 to September 6 and provide new and returning students the opportunity to learn more about UTSA culture, traditions and values.

The two-week series of events, designed to encourage new connections and introduce students to resources available at UTSA, is divided into two distinct themes.

The first week focuses on student-to-student connections and started with Late Night at the Rec on August 23 and Rowdy Glow on August 24.

Another upcoming event is Howdy Rowdy Bash, August 29, an off-campus experience offered to foster camaraderie and create memories. At the Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme park, students are invited to enjoy rides, games and a DJ/foam party.

The second week of Roadrunner Days highlights the services and resources available at UTSA, ensuring students are well-equipped to succeed both academically and personally.

Events include:

Student Success Center Events: Several of the colleges’ Student Success Centers will be hosting various Open House and Block Party-style events to introduce students to their majors and the college’s resources. Students can discover all the ways that the Centers support their success at UT San Antonio and beyond.

Well-being on the Paseo: These programs emphasize how students can maintain good health in body and mind and the resources they need to find support for healthy living.

Part-Time Job Fair and Career Center Resource Expo: Connecting with employers to explore part-time job opportunities and discover Career Center resources to support career development and goals.

This fall’s Roadrunner Days is where the spirit of UTSA comes alive through connection, community and celebration. To learn more about this dynamic two-week series of events, check out the full list of events at the Roadrunner Days site.
