The merger of UTSA and UT Health San Antonio to form The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio) creates a premier global university deeply committed to making lives better for the communities it serves.

The teams of UTSA’s Sombrilla Magazine and UT Health San Antonio’s Mission Magazine sat down with Taylor Eighmy, PhD, president of UT San Antonio, and Francisco Cigarroa, MD, the university’s senior executive vice president of health affairs and health system, to discuss the timing and importance of this historic integration along with the positive impact it will have on San Antonio, the state of Texas and the nation.
