Editor’s note: UT San Antonio President Taylor Eighmy sent this message to all faculty and students on Oct. 23.
Colleagues and students,
As we approach another state-wide election day, I’m writing to encourage you to be informed and make your voice heard. On November 4, many measures on the ballot will impact constituents in Bexar County and across the state. Regardless of your perspective, please exercise your right to vote.
Early voting in-person runs through Friday, October 31, with varying hours each day.
- On the Main Campus, you can cast your ballot in the Bexar Room at the HEB Student Union (HSU 1.102).
- Our Downtown Campus community can vote nearby at the Bexar County Elections Office located at 1103 S. Frio St.
- Our Health Science Center Campus community’s nearest polling location is Wonderland of the Americas at 4522 Fredericksburg Rd.
For more details, a full list of election resources can be found on the Bexar County Elections Department website.
Further, after you vote, I encourage you to stay engaged with issues that matter to you by following #RowdyVOTES for helpful resources.

As I’ve said many times, I strongly believe that civic engagement is critical to our democracy. No matter your position, your voice matters. Please use it and vote.
