The UTSA Roadrunners will take on the Rice Owls in the annual Homecoming football game at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Alamodome. It will be the 13th time that the Texan foes have met on the gridiron, and UTSA has won eight of the previous 12 matchups — including 45–0 (2021) and 34–14 (2023) victories the last two times they played at the Alamodome.

Saturday’s game will be the culmination of Homecoming Week and Family Weekend at UT San Antonio. Students and their families are invited to a special indoor tailgate before the game at 5 p.m. (more details below), and the 2025-26 Family of the Year will be revealed during the game. Tejano legend and UT San Antonio artist-in-residence Shelly Lares, Ballet Folklórico Sol de San Antonio and Mariachi Los Paisanos will join the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band for a special halftime performance for Roadrunners and their families.
