The time has come to pull out your flower crowns, medal-filled sashes and throw on a colorful embordered blouse or guayabera from Market Square.
San Antonio’s annual 10-day celebration, Fiesta, is nearing, and UT San Antonio’s Roadrunner community is ready to party with a purpose. Several events from Fiesta’s jam-packed schedule will feature UT San Antonio students and alumni showing off their Roadrunner pride.

Día en la Sombrilla
Friday, April 17: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This Friday, Sombrilla Plaza on the university’s Main Campus will be covered in cracked cascarones as the aroma of fried foods fills the air. Día en la Sombrilla, sponsored by Roadrunner Productions and the Student Involvement Center, will feature dozens of student organizations selling treats and hosting games to raise money for their respective groups. All the money raised will go toward events and supplies throughout the year.
Fiesta Arts Fair
Saturday, April 18: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, April 19: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In its 51st anniversary, Fiesta Arts Fair is an annual art-focused fundraising celebration that supports UT San Antonio Arts and takes place at the UT San Antonio Southwest Campus. The event features contemporary art from more than 100 artists from across the U.S., as well as food, drinks and live music by local and regional performers. One of the fair’s greatest draws each year is the Young Artists Garden, which gives budding artists the opportunity to learn, explore and express their creativity. Texas Cavaliers River Parade
Monday, April 20: 7 to 9 p.m.
Spectators of the river parade will be able to spot the UT San Antonio Alumni Association on its own river barge float along with UT San Antonio student scholars. All proceeds from the Texas Cavaliers River Parade go to the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation to help fund hundreds of children’s charities and organizations across the community.
Battle of Flowers Parade
Friday, April 24: Vanguard at 9:55 a.m., Parade at 10 a.m.
The second oldest parade in the U.S. and the largest organized entirely by female volunteers, the Battle of Flowers will make its way through the center of Downtown San Antonio. Several representatives from UT San Antonio will show off their Roadrunner pride atop a decked-out float.
UTSA Football Spring Game
Saturday, April 25: Kickoff at noon
Get your first glimpse of the 2026 Roadrunners roster during the UTSA Football Spring Game at the Alamodome. This exhibition game marks the conclusion of the team’s spring workouts, which began on March 23. UTSA Football will kick off its 16th season against UTRGV on Saturday, Sept. 5. Fiesta Flambeau Parade
Saturday, April 25: Vanguard at 7:15 p.m., Parade at 7:45 p.m.
Finish your Fiesta season with the largest illuminated night parade in the U.S., which features marching bands, vibrant costumes and illuminated floats, including one from UT San Antonio. The university’s Spirit of San Antonio (SOSA) Marching Band will also be a part of the celebration.
