The students enrolled in the UT San Antonio School of Architecture + Planning aren’t just studying in downtown San Antonio; they’re learning from it.
Architect Michelangelo Sabatino, PhD, who leads the school, recently spoke with Bob Rivard, host of bigcitysmalltown, about the impact of relocating the school to One Riverwalk Place in San Antonio’s urban core.
Sabatino says the move is reshaping the school’s approach to education, turning downtown San Antonio into an active, real-world learning environment for students.
“I think if we are intentional and identify areas where we can lead the charge in terms of research and promoting dialogue about issues that are negatively impacting the city then we would be serving our role in a way is incredibly valuable,” Sabatino said.
