UTSA Dining is rolling out a series of updates for the Fall 2025 semester, offering Roadrunners new flavors, refreshed spaces and enhanced service across campus.

From a reimagined RowdyMart at Roadrunner Café to the arrival of Slow Boogies ice cream truck and improvements at Chick-fil-A, these updates reflect the university’s ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience.

“We’re always evolving the dining experience to match the needs and tastes of Roadrunners,” said Carrie Charley, associate vice president for Campus Services. “These updates not only bring exciting new flavors and refreshed spaces to campus, but they also reflect our commitment to convenience, quality and creating welcoming environments where students, faculty and staff can connect and thrive.”

The Roadrunner Café entrance has been completely reimagined and now features self-swipe kiosks to make entry faster and easier for diners. Additionally, the Roadrunner Café RowdyMart has been transformed into a modern, welcoming market designed to make quick stops more convenient.

The renovated space features an expanded selection of snacks, beverages and everyday essentials in a sleek environment tailored to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff. The grand reopening was held Aug. 21, just in time for the start of the new school year.

New to the campus dining lineup is Slow Boogies, a retro-inspired ice cream food truck now located along the Student Union Paseo across from Freebirds.

Known for its handcrafted floats, sundaes and ice cream cups, the Slow Boogies truck serves up nostalgic flavors like birthday cake, cotton candy and blue raspberry. The truck also operates as a social services enterprise, creating job opportunities for at-risk youth in San Antonio.

Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A has reopened on campus following a summer refresh of its restaurant. Behind-the-scenes upgrades were made to improve production and service efficiency, helping to keep lines moving at one of UTSA’s most popular dining spots.

Looking ahead to spring, new menu items will be introduced to further enhance the Chick-fil-A experience.
