Kendra Ketchum has been named Indiana University’s new vice president for information technology and chief information officer, effective October 6, 2025.
Ketchum has served as vice president for information management and technology at The University of Texas at San Antonio since 2019. With over 25 years of technology experience in higher education, she brought a strategic focus on modernizing infrastructure and enhancing the service delivery model for the Roadrunner community.
“Kendra played an essential role on our senior leadership team, leading and shaping the university’s long-term vision for technology advancement, access and infrastructure,” said President Taylor Eighmy. “I am deeply grateful for her leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing our university’s technology ecosystem and infrastructure during a period of strategic institutional growth.”
Michael Schnabel will assume the role of vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for the newly integrated UT San Antonio. Schnabel currently serves as vice president and CIO at the Health Science Center campus, reporting to Andrea Marks, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“Michael has been a trusted and reliable partner across our academic, research and health care missions and is well regarded among our UT System peers and colleagues,” Marks said. “I am confident that his expertise, leadership and commitment to UT San Antonio will continue to advance our information technology capabilities through this time of phenomenal growth and change.”
Schnabel joined UT Health San Antonio in 2013 and served as assistant vice president of information security and operations and chief information security officer for more than a decade. As vice president and CIO, he will continue reporting to Marks in his expanded role overseeing information technology functions for the newly integrated institution.
