UTSA Athletics announced Monday that ESPN SportsCenter will air live from Rowdy Lawn in front of the Student Union on the Main Campus, Oct. 30. The broadcast starts at 1 p.m.
Students and fans are invited to gather at Rowdy Lawn at 12:30 p.m. to be part of the national broadcast of the network’s flagship sports news program, which will highlight the university’s traditions and San Antonio’s culture and history.
Head coach Jeff Traylor will join the set for a live interview early in the broadcast and Rowdy, members of the UTSA cheer and pom squads and the Spirit of San Antonio band will be on site to help create a lively atmosphere for the show.

ESPN anchor Matt Barrie will host this edition of SportsCenter on campus, giving viewers the latest sports news, highlights and features as part of ESPN’s ongoing college football coverage.
Also on Thursday, Barrie will host a special 4 p.m. edition of SportsCenter live from inside the Alamodome, providing updates and insights ahead of the 6:30 p.m. American Conference matchup between UTSA and Tulane, which will air live on ESPN.
Fans can purchase tickets to the game online or by calling the UTSA Ticket Office at 210-458-UTSA (8872) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Current UTSA students receive free admission by downloading tickets via their Account Manager.
SportsCenter, ESPN’s flagship program, is a daily sports news television program offering breaking news, highlights, features and in-depth analysis from award-winning journalists, with multiple live editions airing daily. Every week during the college football season, the 1 p.m. CT edition of SportsCenter, originates live from the location of that night’s ESPN Thursday Night College Football game.
