Two of UT San Antonio’s newest dining spots allow Roadrunners to connect while enjoying some American comfort food classics.
This spring, The Den by Denny’s, a modern take on the classic American diner from the well-known restaurant brand, opened at the Student Union on the Main Campus and inside the School of Architecture + Planning at One Riverwalk Place downtown.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Den by Denny’s to spaces where students live, learn and spend their time,” said Carrie Charley, associate vice president for Campus Services. “These locations add variety and convenience, giving the Roadrunner community more ways to enjoy campus life every day.”

The Den at the School of Architecture + Planning, the first campus dining location to open its doors at the university’s newest academic building, provides a convenient daytime option for students, faculty and staff at One Riverwalk Place and the nearby Southwest Campus.
Open until 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, The Den at the Student Union serves as the new late‑night destination on the Main Campus, offering a convenient spot to fuel study sessions and satisfy Roadrunners’ cravings no matter their schedules.
The menu at both locations features a mix of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, including all-day breakfast favorites like pancakes, breakfast burritos and the Original Grand Slam; burgers, salads, wraps and sandwiches; and sweet treats including shakes, sundaes and cookies.
With extended hours and familiar favorites served throughout the day, The Den locations give the Roadrunner community more ways to engage, take a break and enjoy campus life.
