(Jan. 24, 2019) — UTSA is holding two public meetings this month related to its Campus Master Plan initiative, which will guide the development of UTSA’s campuses over the next decade, supporting world-class instruction and research to meet the needs of a growing population. The San Antonio community is invited to learn more about the planning process and provide input at the meetings.

The Public Meeting for the Main Campus will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Magnolia Halle, 10319 Huebner Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78240.

The Public Meeting for the Downtown Campus will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Galeria Guadalupe, 723 S. Brazos, San Antonio, Texas 78207.

“UTSA is a growing university, with intentions to expand to over 45,000 students by 2028,” said Taylor Eighmy, UTSA President. “As we grow, it’s important to engage in regular dialogue with our community partners and campus neighbors to ensure an inclusive process.”

The university will be working with the planning and architecture firm Page and a Master Plan Steering Committee to develop a framework plan to support growth and excellence at both the Main and Downtown campuses.

The forums will include discussion of multiple aspects of the campus master plan priorities, including:

  • Academic and research facilities and social spaces
  • Student housing
  • Athletics and recreation facilities
  • Public/private partnership development opportunities
  • Environmental stewardship and campus landscape network
