(March 14, 2018) — UTSA students, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about the progress of the President’s Initiatives on Strategic Enrollment, Student Success and Finance and Budget Modeling at a series of town hall meetings scheduled this month.
President Eighmy formed the Strategic Enrollment, Student Success, and Finance and Budget Modeling task forces in October 2017 to advance the vision to make UTSA San Antonio’s university of the future.
The Strategic Enrollment Task Force is developing an integrated strategic enrollment plan that will adopt a creative, data analytics-driven strategy for strategic enrollment, examining both the Main and Downtown Campuses as well as online offerings.
The Student Success Task Force is developing an integrated student success plan that will adopt a student-focused strategy and consider academic programs and various measures of success throughout the cradle-to-career educational continuum.
The Finance & Budget Modeling Task Force is creating a strong foundation for UTSA’s fiscal health and laying the groundwork for the growth and innovation to come. The new budget model will be transparent and data-driven, support entrepreneurship and innovation, and align resources needed for the university’s strategic mission, vision and themes.
Each of this month’s town hall meetings will kick off with an update from the task force’s chairs and include guided discussion that will allow attendees to better understand the work completed thus far. Students, faculty and staff with questions for a specific task force are encouraged to email their questions to [email protected].
“I want the UTSA community to have the opportunity to learn more about these initiatives, and ask any questions they may have,” said President Taylor Eighmy. “Given the importance of these initiatives to UTSA’s future, dialogue and transparency around these efforts is vital.”
