(Aug. 30, 2019) – You made it through the first week of classes. Now it’s time to celebrate. The opportunities to get involved, make new friends and celebrate everything that makes being a Roadrunner unique are endless this weekend during Roadrunner Days.

This year, UTSA welcomes new freshman and transfer students to Roadrunner Nation during the 16-day celebration. They will take part in time-honored UTSA traditions, learn about valuable UTSA resources, make memories that will last a lifetime, all important foundations to enhance the exceptional student experience UTSA fosters.
Here’s what’s going on during Roadrunner Days today and tomorrow:
Howdy Rowdy Bash Ticket and T-Shirt Pick up
Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Student Union Paseo, Main Campus
This is the last chance for students who purchased a ticket to Howdy Rowdy Bash to pick up their ticket and a t-shirt on campus. Make sure you bring your UTSA ID. Purchased tickets can also be picked up on Friday, August 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the main gate of Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Howdy Rowdy Bash
Friday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio
This one-of-a-kind evening event at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is for the entire UTSA community, featuring live music, exclusive ride time and more. This year’s Howdy Rowdy Bash will include pep talks from UTSA student-athletes, the Spirit of San Antonio, and a performance by Grammy Award Winning Artist, T-Pain. Advanced ticket purchases required. Fiesta Texas season passes are not valid for this special event. Parking will be free at Fiesta Texas beginning at 5 p.m. for all event attendees.
UCinema – Secret Life of Pets 2
Friday, 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., Student Union Retama Auditorium (SU 2.02.02), Main Campus
Grab a friend and sit back and enjoy one of two free showings of this adorable movie for pet lovers.
UTSA Women’s Soccer vs. Texas State
Friday, 7 p.m., Park West Athletics Complex
Come out and cheer the UTSA soccer team during the opening of the 2019 home slate as the Roadrunners host their I-35 rival Texas State.
Spirit Walk
Saturday, 2:30 p.m, Alamodome Spirit Alley, between Lot B and C, 100 Montana St., San Antonio
Claim your spot as fans line the sidewalk to watch the UTSA football team as they arrive at the Alamodome and prepare to kick off the 2019 season.
UTSA Football vs. Incarnate Word
Saturday, 5 p.m., Alamodome, 100 Montana St., San Antonio
Pack the end zone for the “Hometown Showdown” as the Roadrunner host the UIW Cardinals for the season opener. Students can catch a ride to the game on the Route 93 Alamodome Express through VIA U-Pass, a new service that provides free bus rides to all UTSA students and employees. Buses leave from the Main Campus Oval at 2:30 p.m. Riders also can use the service after the conclusion of the game to return to campus.
