SEPTEMBER 22, 2020 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent via email today, National Voter Registration Day, from President Taylor Eighmy to all students, faculty and staff:
I am passionate about civic engagement, and I believe voting is at the very heart of our responsibility as citizens of this country.
This year my goal is a lofty one: I want to see every single eligible Roadrunner cast their vote in the November general election. The first step is ensuring that you are registered to vote, and we have a big deadline coming up.
October 5 is the last day you can register for the November election. If you are not yet registered, now is the time! Follow the simple directions below to register or verify that you are already registered.
For those of you living on or near campus, voting will be easy this year. I am pleased to announce that UTSA is a designated voting site for both early voting (October 13–30) and on Election Day (November 3), to take place in the H-E-B Student Union Ballroom (HSU 1.104) on Main Campus.
Whatever your political affiliation, you have the right to make your voice heard. Don’t let this important moment in history pass you by.
