FEBRUARY 14, 2021 — Due to the threat of severe winter weather, all UTSA campuses are closed until Wednesday, February 17 at noon.
- All online/virtual and in-person classes and meetings are canceled. Faculty should plan to reschedule any tests, quizzes or class activities and to delay deadlines for any assignments that were to be turned in during that time frame.
- All university events, programs and activities are canceled, including athletics events.
- Only those employees designated as having essential job functions supporting campus operations should report to work. All other employees (both telecommuting and in-person) and student workers do not need to report to work. If you have questions or concerns, contact your supervisor.
Additionally:
- The UTSA Libraries are closed. Library services and collections are accessible online.
- Roadrunner Café will operate under modified hours, opening at 10 a.m. for students living on campus. The late-night café will close at 10 p.m. The POD inside Roadrunner Café will be available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for snacks and Grab & Go items. Garages will continue to operate as usual—except top decks are closed off. Staff will not be present, much like on weekends, which allows permit and hourly paid parking as usual.
UTSA Facilities crews will treat streets, sidewalks and campus walkways to prepare for frozen precipitation. Campus walkways that accumulate ice will be blocked off.
UTSA will continue to monitor conditions and provide additional information as needed. Updates will be posted on UTSA Today and on the university’s official social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
