The University of Texas at San Antonio encourages eligible students, faculty, staff and community members to cast their vote in the November 2025 election.

Early voting begins today, Monday, Oct. 20, and runs through Friday, Oct. 31. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. The UT San Antonio Main Campus is a designated early voting site.

Bexar County voters will consider two major local propositions, 17 statewide constitutional amendments and various local measures, including school district tax proposals and municipal contests.

Local propositions

Proposition A would raise the county’s hotel occupancy tax from 1.75% to 2% to help fund a $197 million redevelopment of the Frost Bank Center, Freeman Coliseum and stock show and rodeo grounds — part of a long-term plan to create a year-round event and entertainment destination on the East Side.

Proposition B would allow Bexar County to use $311 million in venue tax funds to develop a new multipurpose arena intended primarily as the home for the San Antonio Spurs, while also hosting concerts, conventions and community events.

State propositions

Texans will also decide on 17 proposed state constitutional amendments, which cover a wide range of issues, including property taxes, education funding, infrastructure investment, public safety, judicial policies, voter rights, parental rights, and other statewide priorities.
