The UT San Antonio Main Campus has been designated an early voting site for the upcoming joint primary election taking place on Tuesday, March 3. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to make their voices heard by voting early from Tuesday, Feb.17 to Friday, Feb. 27 or on Election Day.
In the March primary, voters will cast a ballot for candidates from their chosen party running for multiple offices, including U.S. senator, Texas governor and attorney general.
Registered Bexar County voters can cast their ballot at the H-E-B Student Union Bexar Room (HSU 1.102). There will be free spaces for short-term voter parking identified in the northern section of the Ximenes Lot.
Registered voters closer to the Downtown Campus can vote at the Bexar County Elections Department located at 1103 S. Frio St. in San Antonio.
All voters must present an approved form of photo identification. Voters are prohibited from using electronic devices within 100 feet of polling locations but are welcome to take printed voter guides with them to the voting booth.

Saturday, Feb. 21
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Noon to 6 p.m.

7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Election Day: Tuesday, March 3
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If no candidate of a particular race receives a majority of the vote in the primary, the top two vote-getters will compete in a runoff on May 26. Texas is an open-primary state, meaning voters can choose either a Republican or Democratic ballot. Voters can then vote only in that same party’s runoff; this will not affect available choices in the general election.

Voter accessibility
- Curbside voting is available if you are physically unable to enter the polling place without the need of personal assistance or the likelihood of injuring your health. All voting centers in Bexar County have curbside voting. You will see a parking spot with a curbside sign. There is a number on the sign to call to let the center know you’re there for curbside voting.
- Voters with visual impairments can cast their ballots via the OmniBallot Accessible Absentee Portal.
