As spring semester classes begin, UTSA is immersing new and returning students in its culture, traditions and values during Roadrunner Days.
The university-wide celebration features a line-up of events, seminars and socials that will help students develop a sense of belonging at the university, encourage them to meet new people and introduce them to resources to help them succeed on campus and in the classroom. Events will run through Sunday, January 21.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to:
- Take a first day of school picture at Smile 4 Rowdy on January 16
- Meet colleges and peers at open house events hosted by the Carlos Alvarez Student Success Center, University College and College of Liberal and Fine Arts
- Attend the Multicultural Open House, an opportunity for Roadrunners to meet students from cultural and identity-based organizations while enjoying churros, hot chocolate and giveaways on Wednesday, January 17
- Socialize at Kickback at the Union, an entertaining experience to learn about everything the Student Union has to offer on January 17
- Attend this year’s MLK Lecture Series with associate professor Jasmine Harris on January 17.
- Meet student organizations and find out how to volunteer around San Antonio at the Spring Get Involved Fair on Thursday, January 18
- Attend the Transfer Student Welcome, an opportunity to connect with other transfer students and learn about helpful resources on January 18
