MARCH 5, 2025 — Details are now available for this year’s University Excellence Awards, celebrating the achievements of Roadrunner faculty and staff.
This year’s ceremony will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, in the H-E-B Student Union Ballrooms (HSU 1.104/1.106) on the UTSA Main Campus.
Nominees for the awards have been announced via a new dedicated webpage. This year, the staff awards review process has been enhanced to include a multi-stage process, recognizing nominees at different levels with advancements of some nominees to semi-finalists, from which the final awardees will be chosen. The faculty process remains the same as in previous years, whereby award winners will be selected from the full group of nominees.
Employees are encouraged to check the University Excellence Award website to learn more about the award categories and celebrate their nominated peers. As individuals advance through the selection process, their status will be reflected on the nominee webpage.
This year’s awards ceremony will once again feature President Taylor Eighmy, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Heather Shipley and Executive Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Enterprise Development Officer Veronica Salazar. Representatives from UTSA’s Faculty and Staff Senates will also participate in the awards presentations.
