Undergraduate students from institutions across the United States spent the summer at UT Health San Antonio gaining hands-on experience in biomedical research while working alongside leading faculty scientists and mentors.
Through the Summer Physiology Undergraduate Research Program (SPUR) and the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), both housed in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, students spent 10 weeks immersed in research projects, gaining firsthand laboratory experience, professional mentorship and opportunities for real-world discovery.
Visit the UT Health San Antonio Newsroom to learn how these programs are giving aspiring researchers the experience they need for their careers.
