The UTSA Center for Civic Engagement will be supporting all Roadrunners and campus and community partners in the collective effort to increase voter participation and build on the momentum of student activism over the past few years. According to the National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement Report, 62.4% of UTSA’s students voted in the 2020 presidential election—up from the 45.5% that voted in 2016. That increase in voter turnout earned UTSA the All IN Democracy Challenge Silver Seal for the 2020 presidential election.

Center for Civic Engagement staff will be serving as Voter Deputy Registrars to assist those interested in registering to vote. Faculty interested in incorporating an engaged learning component to their courses that includes voter engagement can contact Maria Alejandro at [email protected]. Anyone interested in a presentation on student voter turnout at UTSA or partnering to promote voter engagement may contact Noelani Cubillos-Sanchez at [email protected].
