When the Institute of Texan Cultures reopened in downtown San Antonio, it celebrated with a giant homecoming mum.

To celebrate the newly reopened Institute of Texan Cultures debut, admission will be free during opening week.

University leaders, community partners, friends and supporters gathered at the ITC Wednesday morning for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The reopening marks the completion of an 18-month transformation to create a fresh, dynamic experience that celebrates the state’s cultural heritage.

In the March primary, voters in Bexar County will cast a ballot for candidates from their chosen party running for federal and state offices.

UT San Antonio exhibit celebrates the artists and legacy of one of San Antonio’s oldest alternative, artist-run spaces.  

Several major projects will be completed this year as UT San Antonio blazes its path to become one of the nation’s leading public universities.

UT San Antonio is among only 277 of more than 4,000 degree-granting institutions nationwide to earn the designation.
