UT San Antonio Giving Day continues today with strong momentum as the university’s 48-hour celebration of generosity enters its second day. With time still remaining, the university community has an opportunity to build on early success and expand support for students, academics, research and programs that make lives better.
As of 8 a.m. this morning, 1,022 donors have contributed almost $175,000 support of UT San Antonio. Participation continues to grow as alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, physicians, health professionals, friends and community partners come together to make an impact.
UT San Antonio Giving Day continues through noon tomorrow, April 2. Donors can still make a gift to support a wide range of funds across UT San Antonio, including academic colleges and schools, student programs, athletics, libraries and museums, scholarships and endowments. Opportunities also include funds connected to UT Health San Antonio, supporting health research, patient care and medical education
A full list of available funds can be found here.
Several challenges have already been met, unlocking additional support for key programs, while others remain open and offer opportunities for donors to maximize their impact. One of the key remaining challenges is from Harvey Najim: when 300 donors support the Roadrunner Athletic Fund, he will donate $300,000.
Power Hours will continue throughout the remainder of Giving Day, offering additional opportunities for colleges, programs and departments to rally support and earn bonus funding.
Upcoming Power Hours include:
- April 1: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 11p.m. to 1a.m.
- April 2: 10 a.m. to noon
Community members can continue to participate by making a gift, sharing Giving Day with their networks or serving as a Giving Day advocate. Increased participation throughout the final hours will help build momentum and expand the impact of this year’s historic campaign.
